Welcome!  I'm glad you're here.

Here's the gist of who I am and what I do:

I'm a theatre artist and educator living and working in Boston, MA, with a focus on directing and producing.  I am currently the Community & Artistic Programs Manager at Lyric Stage Boston and also work as a freelance director throughout the Greater Boston area.  I am also a Freedom Trail tour guide for Hub Town Tours.

I believe that theatre is the ultimate means through which society can reflect upon, challenge, and affirm our experiences.  My storytelling interests include:  The ways that humans craft, embody, and resist narratives; the transcendent power of human connection; and ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances.  I am particularly drawn to characters who could be described as underdogs and misfits, to content that celebrates the weird but wonderful, and to stories that linger in ambiguities rather than offering simple solutions. I believe in the necessity of brave spaces for open-hearted collaboration and the power of a killer playlist.  I am an Associate Member of SDC -- the Stage Directors and Choreographers Union.

A few impactful creative influences include:

As a teaching artist, I specialize in arts integration and public history for all ages, as well as devised work with students in grades 6-12 using an arts-literacy model and community-based practices.  I've developed and taught programs for the American Repertory Theater, the Huntington, Actors' Shakespeare Project, Boston Shakespeare Project, Central Square Theater, and Company One Theatre, and partnered with the public art nonprofit Now + Theatre and the international tour company Walks/City Experiences.

Additionally, since 2016 I've served on the board of the Theatre Community Benevolent Fund, which provides financial support to Boston theatre artists in times of need.

Let's tell some stories together!
